Home - Jemstar Entertainment "MORE Than Just About The Music!"

And Then...

Typically just before dinner is served...it would be time for the Best Man to grab the microphone to say a few nice things about the new happy couple as we all raise a glass to toast the joyful union. And, while everyone eats and mingles some more, the Bride and Groom quickly finish their meal because they want to make their rounds from table to table, welcoming their guests and family as the music is light and lovely so that all can converse. The evening is just beginning; more dancing is ahead.

When it comes to the dance portion of the evening, I like to start things leisurely as a way to break the ice. A few popular slow songs always gets folks to the floor as they digest a wonderful dinner. Your mature guests will like it that way...and besides, it's too soon to go faster (timing is of the essence).

You may even opt for the popularly traditional Dollar Dance (Some refer to as 'Money' dance...Others may refer to it as "Not at MY wedding!") as a way to collect (and some might say 'squeeze') from your guests a little extra spending cash for your honeymoon.

In reality, it's intended as a great way to acclimate those who may be a bit timid towards the dance floor. Understandably, it can seem a bit 'gauche' to lay such a practice upon your guests and loved ones to turn them upside-down for more money, but knowing your family and guests better than anyone, this can be an EXCELLENT tool if you possibly expect a little sluggishness in the dance floor area.

ADDITIONALLY, this can also provide an extra way for your guests and family to give just a little extra FACE-TO-FACE time when they feel that they can never give you enough...Believe me, the people that will come to your wedding love you, and they will be dying for ways to show it...Don't be surprised if some even expect (and/or sometimes request) this.
