How Does THIS Sound To You?

Sandra Johnson PhotographyThru detailed discussions, we will create and customize a personalized affair tailored for YOU, and by no means do I ever do a "cookie-cutter" type performance...

The following could be used as a TEMPLATE: A typical affair (not that yours would ever be 'typical'...some brides may even use the following example as a model to avoid) might start off with guests arriving to the reception location after witnessing an emotional and beautiful ceremony; The music in the room is upbeat, yet light and jazzy, mixed perfectly with tunes that you and your guests have previously requested.

The most popular genre these days for wedding reception cocktail periods is what some refer to as "Lounge", "American Popular Standard" or "Mob / Rat-Pack Style Pop", which might include classic crooners like Sinatra, Martin, Bennett, Harry Connick Jr., Mathis, Torme, etc. One may also opt for Smooth Jazz or lite Adult Contemporary either separately or mixed in.

Our Bride and Groom have not yet arrived yet because they'd normally be busy with the photographer (Professional Photographers always take 45 minutes to do post-ceremony wedding pictures - no more...no less - guaranteed), all guests are told 'welcome' and to enjoy the pre-introduction hors derves as they are to take this opportunity to meet and mingle amongst friends and family, most who may likely have not seen one another in ages. But, when you do finally arrive, you'll be greeted by yours truly before you and your bridal party enter the venue area to where I will then lead you and your court to a spot where everyone can be organized, deflated and instructed as to what to do as I prepare to make your formal wedding party Grand Introductions.

The introduction music should be upbeat; Your Wedding Party stands before the crowd, smiling, as your guests are allowed to come up close to take a few pictures just before you take your first dance as husband and wife.

Perhaps, after a sweet Father/Daughter dance and then maybe a Mother/Son dance, we could mix in a traditional 'Cut-In' ceremonial dance (symbolizing the joining of the two families). Or, you may opt for just a simple, short & sweet dance for just the two of you.
